This already large top floor, light-filled apartment was increased by converting the unused loft space into a further bedroom, bathroom and studio space.
Despite this being in the sensitive Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea, we were able to obtain approval for several large Velux windows in both top floor rooms.
We engaged the services of a structural engineer and building control consultant to assist us in navigating us through the difficult and at times sensitive insertion of a new self-contained living space at the top of this high-end Chelsea residential mansion block.
Heating and a new bathroom were linked to the apartments already existing central heating system and all bathrooms in the main apartment were given a clean simple refurbishment. A master switch at the entrance door was installed allowing the owner to switch all appliances off in one go.
